Daybreak supporting adults with earning disabilities - Community Visit
On Tuesday 4th August a group from Daybreak, Montagu hub went to St James Park for a free open day where they could watch Newcastle United's first squad show off their skills and train for the match they had on Sunday 9th August. It was a great turn out, lots of people came to watch. The stadium was quite full.
Michael, Dean, Robert C, Robert T, Steven P, Sarah, Calli, Clare, Andrew S, Raju, Andrew B, Paul and Steven L all went along to St James Park and were supported by Life Skills Instructor Adam and Relief Life Skills Instructor John.
Here is a couple of quotes from our people and staff
Steven P "It was good, I really enjoyed watching my favourite footballers on the pitch"
Michael "It was a good day out. I enjoyed everything but I would have liked to have met the players, have my photograph taken with them and possibly kick a ball into the net with them."
Robert C "It was excellent"
Dean R "It was fab"
Adam "Everyone had a great morning watching the Newcastle United first team train. It was interesting to see how they all worked together under the guidance of the new head coach Steven McLaren. Everyone seems optimistic for the new season.
